1. Handling Physical Goods & Mail
Accepting Packages on Behalf of a Client: I cannot accept or sign for packages in a client’s name, as this raises concerns around liability and accountability.
Mailing Packages Without Verification: I must be able to see, identify, and package the items before mailing to ensure transparency and protect both parties from any liability related to lost, damaged, or prohibited items.
2. Financial Transactions
Managing Bank Accounts Directly: I will not have direct access to or control over any client’s bank accounts. However, I can assist with tasks like generating financial reports, reconciling expenses, or setting up payment reminders.
Making Payments on Behalf of a Client: If payments must be made, I will ensure the use of a secure and authorized system, such as a shared access account where permissions are clearly defined. I will never accept unrestricted access to a client’s funds.
Holding Client Funds: I will not personally handle or hold client money, such as accepting deposits or holding cash on behalf of a client.
3. Legal and Compliance Concerns
Drafting Legal Documents: I will not draft contracts, legal agreements, or provide legal advice unless a certified legal professional is present at the time of drafting.
Handling Sensitive Legal Matters: I will handle tasks involving sensitive legal or regulatory information only at my discretion. I will not manage client compliance issues related to HR, data privacy, or regulatory requirements without proper oversight.
4. Confidential Information
Unrestricted Access to Confidential Data: There will be limits and security protocols in place when handling sensitive information, such as personal identification numbers, passwords, or health records.
Acting as a Power of Attorney: Due to liability issues, I cannot act as a power of attorney or trustee for a client.
5. Medical and Personal Assistance
Managing Medical or Health Records: Although I am knowledgeable about HIPAA compliance, I will not handle or store sensitive health information.
Providing Medical or Psychological Advice: I cannot give medical, psychological, or wellness advice. However, I can help find and refer clients to appropriate professionals when requested.
6. Client Representation
Signing Contracts: I cannot sign contracts on behalf of a client unless I have explicit, notarized written authorization.
Representing Clients in Meetings: I will not represent clients in meetings or negotiations unless I have explicit, notarized written authorization.
7. Physical Safety Concerns
Handling Personal or Dangerous Tasks: I will not perform tasks that I deem could put me at physical risk, such as meeting strangers in person on behalf of a client or handling hazardous materials.
Personal Errands That Compromise Safety: I will not run errands that I deem may involve physical liability, such as picking up large, heavy packages or driving long distances under client instruction.
